The guys at Scream Factory sent along word that they’re currently hiring cast for their Halloween event. We went along last year and found it to seriously be the best thing that we went through all season. So we would absolutely recommend considering this if you’re so inclined! And if not, tickets are now available and, again, we highly suggest that you attend!

FRIGHTFULLY FUN JOBS UP FOR GRABS IN THE NORTH EAST – GET PAID TO SCARE
THE North East’s largest and scariest, American-style Halloween Haunt, Scream Factory returns this October and has over 30 acting roles to add to it’s current cast of over 100.
Now in its seventh year the multi-award winning attraction, which has been growing year on year, saw guests attending from as far as Canada, Australia, Sweden and Pakistan. The 2017 event saw record visitor numbers with over 22,000 attending across the Halloween period.
The fully immersive experience which is designed to “frighten and make you jump” lasts for up to 55 minutes and takes place across nine thrilling zones in a series of hand-built sets that incorporate special effects and face-to-face interaction with scare actors.
“Stephen Tate, managing director of Imaginative Productions, the events company behind Scream Factory said: “Last year we had a record turn-out for our open auditions with hundreds attending and we have even more roles available this year so we’re hoping for the same.
“With the introduction of our Valentine’s themed event and several family friendly events in the pipeline, we’re keen to meet with a diverse range of actors. We’re looking for specific scare actors but are also keen to see those who want to entertain families and children.”
Scream Factory, which recently won the ‘Best out of Season Event’ award at the European Scare Awards, ScarCON is produced by Imaginative Productions. The family-run events agency was set up by the Tate family as a way to diversify their Redcar-based flood restoration business in 2012 and has grown rapidly in recent years producing Scream Factory and managing private and corporate events.
Stephen added: “Our cast now extends to over 100 and many are those who started with us on day one. We even have actors who come to work with us each year from as far as the Netherlands.”
The open auditions for the Scream Factory cast are taking place at Imaginative Productions offices at Belasis Business Centre on Coxwold Way, Billingham. There’s no need to register and no experience is necessary, but you must be aged 18 or over. All roles acting and event staff are paid work and not volunteer positions.
