Best of 2017 Poll

We’re seeking your opinions for our 2017 review!

We’re gearing up to publish our best of 2017 on the 1st Jan 2018 and thought we’d throw in a new element this year – visitor ratings! Given that all the reviews on this site are written by one person, it’s good to see other perspectives which is why we now have the second opinion added to the reviews. We did think about producing a shortlist but there’s a chance that you may not have attended any of our, say, top five. So, for each category, we’re going to include every event that we visited in 2017. We’re going to base this only on what we’ve visited and covered so we’ll be the first to admit that it isn’t going to be the most comprehensive poll but we’d rather only focus on the events that we have experience with. Polls will close at midnight on New Year’s Eve!

So here are the categories…

Best Scream Park of 2017

Best Escape Room of 2017

Best Standalone Attraction of 2017

Disappointed that Scaresville at Kentwell Hall doesn’t get a mention?

Hey man, good point and one that we tried to address in the post but it probably warrants a bit more explanation!

When putting the post together this year (we did one for 2016 too http://scareaddicts.com/best-of-2016), we decided to publish readers’ favourites too. In doing that, we realised that there will be plenty of places that readers visited that we never managed to get to. So, we figured that the best way, for us, of doing this was to limit the reader options to our own list. At least that way we could provide some commentary and see how closely our thoughts matched those that read the site. It’s just more fun for us that way rather than talking about an event that we have no experience with.

The lists in the polls are unfiltered, every single event that we attended in 2017 is accounted for so we tried to be as flexible as possible.

We totally appreciate that these are solely deriving from our own experience and therefore not a full and complete awards of the year. It’s what we considered the best of 2017 based on what we ourselves went through with the addition, now, of user input.

Unfortunately, Scaresville was an event that we couldn’t attend with other notables being Farmageddon and Fear at Avon Valley. All events are on our radar though and we’re prioritising visiting new places so we’ll see what happens next year!
